What It's Like Being a ‘Second Set of Eyes' For Doctors in Ukraine
From thousands of miles away over telemedicine video chat, Northwell Health's Dr. Andrew Salama has offered advice and support to doctors working in warzones in Ukraine. Salama has treated patients injured in the Gulf War, and used that experience to consult Ukrainian doctors through facial reconstruction surgeries and other treatments for wartime injuries.
