Arming Teachers and Doctors to Stop Shootings a ‘Recipe for Disaster,' Says Ex-Cop
After multiple mass shootings across the country from Buffalo to Uvalde and Tulsa, Oklahoma, some leaders have suggested arming doctors, teachers or even grocery store workers. "The idea of sending officers into an environment where there's an active shooter and then other folks with guns.. that's a recipe for disaster," says Brandon del Pozo, former chief of police in Burlington, Vermont.
