Wish Granted! Fans Rejoice as Brandy, Whitney Houston's ‘Cinderella' Heads to Disney Plus

Disney announced Thursday the musical movie will launch on the streaming service “at the stroke of midnight” on Feb. 12.

“Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella,” the 1997 TV movie that stars Brandy in the title role alongside pop icon Whitney Houston, is officially coming to Disney Plus.

Upon release in 1997 the film was hailed for celebrating diversity and representation through its casting which includes Whoopi Goldberg, Bernadette Peters and Jason Alexander.

Brandy appeared on "The View" Thursday to celebrate the announcement, and later took to social media to express her gratitude.

"IT’S POSSIBLE! Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella” will begin streaming on @disneyplus at the stroke of midnight on Friday, February 12th. Thank you God and thank you Nippy," she wrote referring to Houston by her nickname.
