Porndemic! Porn Usage Has Risen Dramatically During the Pandemic

In what may the least surprising news you hear this year, there's been a rapid increase in pornography viewing habits as Americans have found themselves sheltered in place during the COVID-19 pandemic without other outlets for their more... prurient interests.

So while you're certainly not one of the Americans engaging in the rampant porndemic, here's a look at what some of your naughtier neighbors are up to, according to preliminary findings from the Kinsey Institute.

• Nearly 1 in 5 Americans say they have watched porn since the pandemic started.
• Two hours is how much porn the average person reports watching in the last two weeks.
• Since the start of the pandemic 18.5 million searches have included "Corona" on Pornhub. "Quarantine" has been included in 11.8 million searches.
• Pornhub reports traffic on its site increased 6.2% on August 24th last year when Zoom reported a six hour outage. You connect the dots.
• The adult content site OnlyFans reported 3.5 million new subscribers in March.
• During election week some of the top searches across the Internet included the words 'Tickling', 'Swag', 'Sexmex' and 'Trump.'
