How Rescuing Dogs from Puerto Rico Became This New Yorker's Mission

Julie Sinaw was on vacation in Puerto Rico when she first became aware of the island's large population of stray dogs. That's when the seed was planted to form Animal Lighthouse Rescue, a nonprofit organization that rescues stray dogs in Puerto Rico and brings them to New York for adoption.
