Brooklyn Artist Adrian Brandon is Honoring Stolen Black Lives With Unfinished Portraits
Brooklyn Artist Adrian Brandon is honoring Black lives that ended at the hands of police with a series of unfinished portraits. Brandon only colors his sketches for as many minutes as his subjects were alive, leaving partially-completed portraits that represent lives cut short. The subjects of his “Stolen” series include George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Botham Jean and 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones, among others.
