Exploring Mental Health and the Model Minority Myth in Film

“Definition Please” is the story of an Indian American girl who wins the National Spelling Bee and appears on a glide path to success when she “gets lost along the way.” It tackles the pressures of the model minority myth as well as how mental illness impacts a family.
